Five daily meetings with Allah
Salah is the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. It is the second pillar of Islam and the first deed a person will be asked about on the Day of Judgement.
Prescribed at the highest place
Salah was given to the Prophet ﷺ directly during the Night Journey (al-Isra wal-Miraj) — showing how beloved it is to Allah. It keeps the heart connected to Him throughout the day.
A shield and a light
The Quran says Salah restrains from shameful deeds (29:45). The Prophet ﷺ compared the five prayers to a river at your door in which you wash five times a day — no dirt remains.
