Brotherhood first
In Madinah the Prophet ﷺ paired each migrant (Muhajir) with a helper (Ansari) as brothers — the Ansar shared their homes and wealth. Faith made strangers into family.
The mosque at the centre
The Prophet's Mosque was the heart of the new community: a place of prayer, learning, judging disputes and welcoming delegations. He ﷺ carried the bricks with his own hands.
A constitution for all
The Charter of Madinah organized relations between the Muslims, and with the Jewish tribes and others — one of history's earliest written constitutions, built on justice and shared defence.
