Unit: Life of the Prophet ﷺ · Lesson 35 of 50 · study cards + quiz
A walking Quran
When Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked about his character, she said: "His character was the Quran." Allah Himself says: "Indeed, you are of a tremendous character" (68:4).
Mercy to all
He was gentle with children, kind to servants, merciful to animals and forgiving to enemies — on conquering Makkah he pardoned the very people who had persecuted him: "Go, for you are free."
Simple and humble
He mended his own sandals, helped with housework, sat with the poor, and never took revenge for himself. He smiled often and said the best of you are the best to their families.
