Next to worshipping Allah
Allah pairs His worship with kindness to parents: "Worship Allah… and to parents do good" (4:36). Do not even say "uff" to them, and lower to them the wing of humility (17:23-24).
The mother three times
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: "Who most deserves my good companionship?" He said: "Your mother." — "Then who?" — "Your mother." — "Then who?" — "Your mother." — "Then who?" — "Your father."
Paradise at their feet
Serving parents in their old age is a door to Paradise, and dua for them continues to benefit us and them: "Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayani saghira" — My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.
