🌸 Neighbors & Guests الجَار والضَّيْف

Unit: Akhlaq & Manners · Lesson 42 of 50 · study cards + quiz
The neighbor's right

Jibril kept advising the Prophet ﷺ about the neighbor until he thought neighbors would inherit. "He is not a believer whose neighbor is not safe from his harm."

Honouring the guest

Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honour his guest. Ibrahim (peace be upon him) hurried to bring his guests a roasted calf before they even asked — the model of hospitality.

Small kindnesses count

Do not belittle any good deed — even meeting your brother with a smiling face, or sharing cooking with the neighbors: "add water to the broth and look to your neighbors."
