💛 Belief in Qadar الإِيمَان بِالقَدَر

Unit: Pillars of Iman · Lesson 11 of 50 · study cards + quiz
Allah's decree

Qadar means Allah knows everything before it happens, wrote it in the Preserved Tablet, wills whatever occurs, and creates all things. Nothing happens outside His knowledge and will.

Peace of the heart

The believer knows that what missed you could never have hit you, and what hit you could never have missed you. This brings patience in hardship and gratitude in ease.

Qadar and our effort

Believing in Qadar never means giving up effort: we tie the camel AND trust in Allah. We choose our actions and are responsible for them, while Allah's knowledge encompasses all.
