My name is Muhammad Gad. I am a graduate of Al-Azhar University, Faculty of Islamic Da'wah, and I hold Ijazah in the Hafs recitation, along with Ijazah in Matn Al-Jazariyyah, Tohfatul Atfal, the Noorani Qaida and Noor Al-Bayan.
For more than seven years I have taught Quran, Tajweed and Arabic, mostly to children, adults and new Muslims in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. I began as an assistant to my Sheikh and later served as an Imam. In 2024 I was named Teacher of the Year at Riwaq Al Quran Institute, where I also teach.
Teaching English speakers taught me where the difficulty actually lies: not in the will, but in the absence of a correct model to imitate. A child in Cairo hears the letters every day. A child in Manchester or Melbourne often does not. So I built this platform to put that model in every home — free, and with the sound on every letter.

Why we exist
Learning to read the Quran should not depend on where you live or what you can afford. Many families outside the Arabic-speaking world want their children to read the Quran properly, but a good teacher is not always within reach, and most quality resources sit behind a paywall.
MuslimLearn was built to remove those barriers. Everything on this site is free, works offline once loaded, and runs on any phone.

How we approach the content
The Quranic text follows the Hafs narration. Word-by-word breakdowns and lesson explanations are written by us for teaching purposes. We are careful to describe classical primers rather than reproduce copyrighted books, and we always encourage buying an authorized copy to support the scholars who produced them.
We also say this plainly: a website cannot hear you recite. Tajweed is perfected with a teacher. Use this site to prepare, to practice, and to revise — then recite to someone qualified.
Privacy by design
There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers holding your data. Your child's progress lives in your own browser and nowhere else. This was a deliberate choice for a site used by children.
